Litter Pickup Dates

April 20 – 9:00 East Hampton/Sag Harbor CAC  Meet at the Senior Center Parking lot on Springs Fireplace Road.

April 20 – 10:00 AM  Springs CAC Springs Fireplace Road. Meet at Ashawagh Hall.

April 20 – 10:00 AM  East Hampton Litter Action CommitteeMeet at Ashawagh Hall.

April 20 – 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Barnes Landing Association Meet at the Barnes Landing Bay Beach Parking Lot at the end of Barnes Hole Road.

April 20 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM CCOM (Rain Date; Sunday, April 21 at 10:00 -1:00) Meet at CCOM Office, 6 S. Elmwood Ave. Montauk.

April 20 – 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Peconic Land Trust Meet at the Trailhead on Stony Hill Road (Archer Trail). Registrations required. Rain cancels. For more information and to reserve, please visit www.peconiclandtrust.org/calendar.

April 27 – 10:00 AM  Accabonac Protection Committee and East Hampton Trails Preservation SocietyMeet at the first parking area on Gerard Drive. The cleanup will be led by Nick Bryan who will share some history about the area with those who are participating.

April 27 – 10:00 AM Wainscott CAC and Friends of Georgica Pond Foundation (FOGP)Meet at the parking lot across from 84 Wainscott Rd (formally Breadzilla).

April 27 – 9:00 AM East Hampton/Sag Harbor CAC – Meet at the Senior Center Parking lot on Springs Fireplace Road.

May 1 – 9:30 AM Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa Meet at the Gurney’s Inn Parking Lot. There will be a shuttle bus to and from the resort for the cleanup. Coffee and pastries served afterwards.

May 4 – 10 AM East Hampton Litter Action Committee & Springs CAC. Meet at Ashawagh Hall.

May 11 – 9:00 AM Lazy Point Association and East Hampton Town Trustees. Meet at the boat ramp on Shore Road in Lazy Point.

May 11 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Montauk CAC Meet at the Kirk Park Parking Lot.

May 18 – 9:00 AM East Hampton Litter Action Committee and Springs CAC. Meet at Louse Pt. Road Parking Area. Coffee and donuts will be provided.Come and participate in this final No-Fling Spring and Road Safety Event. Free high visibility vests will be available while they last. Whether picking up trash, walking or biking, it’s important to be safe!

May 9 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM East Hampton Library In Conjunction with the Concerned Citizens of Montauk & the Accabonac Protection Committee will screen “The Story of Plastic” an Emmy- winning film depicting one of the world’s far reaching global environmental issues.The screening will be followed by a discussion led by the Surfrider Foundation. To register: Call 631.324.0222 Ext. 3 or email the Adult Reference Desk at reference@easthamptonlibrary.org.

May 17 from 6:00 PM –  9:00 PM   “No-Fling Spring Fling” Dance PartyA Fundraiser for the Springs Presbyterian Church/Community Center.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION :

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Thank you very much for participating in this year’s No-Fling Spring.

As a reminder, here are few informational details for cleanup organizers:

  • Trash bags can be picked up at the Highway Department located at 258 Springs Fireplace  Road – 631.324.0925.
  • The Highway Department – 631.324.0925 – will pick up your piles of full trash bags if you provide them with the location where you will leave them. If your pickup is on  a weekend, please call the Highway Department on the Friday before as they will be closed Saturday and Sunday. The Highway Department will also be alerting the attendants at the Recycling Center to allow No – Fling Spring trash collectors to drop off bags on their cleanup day.
  • Attached are waiver forms to be printed and filled out.
  • And, please take pictures and send them back to us at ehlitteraction@gmail.com so we can boast about our success!
