Citizen scientists of East Hampton are invited to join the Trustees!
The Trustees are gearing up for the annual horseshoe crab monitoring season, which will begin this month and continue through June. Beginning this weekend, the count of the mating horseshoes will occur during the evenings at high tide during the full and new Moons.

As in previous years, the program is sponsored by the State Department of Environmental Conservation, Stony Brook University, and Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Marine Program. “Citizen scientists” from the public are encouraged to participate throughout the 30 sites in the program.
This year, the Trustees will monitor the horseshoe crabs in Northwest Harbor and Napeague Harbor. Interested in joining the Trustees?
