If you’re a seasoned oyster gardener or someone who would like to grow your own oysters for the first time, now is the time to sign up for The East Hampton Shellfish Hatchery’s 2024 season!
John “Barley” Dunne, the Director of The East Hampton Shellfish Hatchery, will begin the 2024 season with an informative class on Thursday, February 29th at 5PM at Town Hall of East Hampton in the main meeting room located at 159 Montauk Highway. The first presentation of three will introduce gardeners to Shellfish, Broodstock Conditioning and Algae Culture. Each class is two hours. *Classes will also be available to attend by ZOOM.

- April 25th– Shellfish Diseases, Pests, Predators, Handling
