Southampton attorney Dan Rodgers, in beret, is representing commercial fishermen who are party to a lawsuit filed this week by the East Hampton Town Trustees claiming that an easement over a privately -owned Amagansett beach cannot exclude fishermen using 4×4 vehicles to access the property. This past week the East Hampton Town Trustees and commercial fishermen filed a class action suit to secure the right to continue to use their 4×4 vehicles to access the Amagansett Beach as they have done for hundreds of years- beginning with horses that drew the boats to the ocean, followed by the evolution from horses to vehicles.
